Professional associations of conference interpreters, such as VKD, ensure the professionalism of their members by means of admissions criteria. In addition, their members are obliged to adhere to a professional code of conduct and ethics covering the fundamentals of professional and cooperative conduct such as confidentiality, transparency and careful preparation. With its Code of Practice and Ethics and the admissions process, VKD provides active quality assurance and orientation for all market participants.
